BY RAIL: Coorg’s nearest railway station is at Mysore around 95 Kilometres. To reach Coorg you can rent a taxi from Mysore.

BY AIR: Mangalore International Airport is the nearest domestic airport. The distance is around 160 kms and Bangalore (260 km away) to the land of emerald plantations and immerse yourself in the aromas of all good things.

BY ROAD: Coorg is very well connected by road from South India’s main cities. From Mangalore you can catch deluxe KSRTC buses coming to Coorg. Bengaluru, with Mysore. Take a serene 7-hour drive through misty mountains and lush greens through Bangalore. Taking you into this heaven in disguise through Mysore, Hunsur and Madekeri it will cue you in.

Best time to Travel to Coorg

The perfect time to visit Coorg is from September to June, because the weather is pleasant without rain and not too hot either. However, if you want to go trekking, the best time to visit Coorg is October through March, because this is the ideal weather if you want to spend more time outdoors. It’s best to avoid visiting during the monsoon months of late July and August, due to heavy rainfall and landslides.
